About Me

I never really knew where I fit in this world. Often, I still don’t… but I’m learning.

When I found out (at age 40!) that I am AuDHD, the realization sparked a wave of ah-ha moments… and a cascade of new questions.

Suddenly, so much of my life made more sense - like a missing piece of who I am had slid into place. At the same time, that piece changed the whole picture, and everything I thought I knew about myself felt up for re-examination.

Realizing that I experience and process the world differently gave my lifelong curiosity about identity and belonging a renewed intensity - and set me on a path of learning as much as I can about the lived experience of AuDHD.

Identity as an ongoing inquiry:

  • Late-realized AuDHD reframed how I understand myself - past and present

  • Masking has influenced many aspects of how I move through the world, how others have seen me, and how I have seen myself

  • Much of my work since late-realization has been around experience and meaning-making

  • I’m interested in what becomes possible when people have language that fits their experience

  • Especially when that language arrives later in life

Random Fun Stuff

  • Books are my special interest. Reading them, but also collecting them, the smell and feel of them, the stories inside, visiting familiar bookstores and finding new ones to check out… all the book things :)

  • I love animals. All animals. I am privileged to have an amazing yellow lab (Langley) and rex rabbit (Benson) for companions.

  • My favorite color is green. If you didn’t get that from looking at this website, continue checking out my stuff and you will notice!

  • Headphones all the time. One of my most supportive day-to-day accommodations by far.
